to the studio: 20 Winchester Street
The office/studio is in the
historic Bay Village neighborhood of Boston, near the Park Plaza Hotel, off Arlington
Street.
From the North or Northwest: 1. Get onto Storrow Drive
and take the Arlington Street exit into the Back Bay. Follow Arlington St.
for a few blocks, passing the Public Garden on your left. Pass the Park Plaza
Hotel and stay in the left lane. At the intersection of Arlington, Stuart and
Columbus Ave. you will see a big armory that looks like a castle. Go straight
through this intersection on Arlington St. and turn LEFT onto tiny Piedmont St.
2. Go two blocks to the end of Piedmont, turn RIGHT, then turn RIGHT again
onto Winchester Street. My building is a half-block ahead on the left, and there
is an alley adjacent to it. You can park in the alley on the right-hand side.
The door has plants on each side. From the West:
Take the Mass
Turnpike towards Boston and get off at Exit 22, Copley Square/Prudential, inside
the tunnel. Stay to the right as you spiral up and out to Stuart Street. Go straight
until you come to the intersection with Arlington Street and you see the Castle/armory
on your right. Now turn right onto Arlington and then immediately turn left onto
Piedmont St. and enter Bay Village.
Follow directions from #2 above.
From
the South:
Take Rt. 3 (Southeast Expressway ) going north to
Boston. Take exit 18 called Mass Ave and continue parallel to the
Expressway for about one mile, up and down, to a stoplight marked South
End. Turn LEFT onto East Berkeley Street, UNDER the expressway, by Mobil
gas station. Follow East Berkeley Street 7 blocks, then go RIGHT on Columbus Avenue.
At the next corner, with several traffic lights and the armory on the right, turn
RIGHT on Arlington Street then immediately turn LEFT onto tiny Piedmont Street.
Follow directions from #2 above T stop is Arlington
St. on Green Line. Follow Arlington St. south with the traffic, pass the
Castle, take the 2nd left onto Winchester St. Orange Line stop is South
Cove / Chinatown.
